Ellery James writes and creates the Coloring Bible Stories series, a chronological collection of Bible story coloring books for children ages 4 to 8.

Ellery lives in Malaysia and is passionate about teaching Bible stories to children. The idea for the series began when she noticed how many children today are glued to their tablets. She wanted to offer something calmer and more hands-on: a book that tells a Bible story in simple words and invites a child to bring it to life with crayons and colored pencils, learning to color along the way.

Each volume tells one story, from Creation onward, in the order the Bible tells them. Every coloring page carries a short retelling and a Bible reference, so children and the grown-ups beside them can always find the story in Scripture, and a Notes page after each story leaves room for Sunday school reflections and prayer requests. The books are made for Sunday school, church, homeschool and the kitchen table, and are available in paperback and hardcover.

Away from her desk, Ellery is passionate about design, cooking and gardening.
